Pain, inflammation, anxiety, and neurodegenerative diseases are rising sharply among seniors. The medical system’s overreliance on opioids and other high-risk and addictive pharmaceuticals have created a crisis—fueling polypharmacy, dangerous side effects, rising medical and pharmaceutical costs, and diminished quality of life.

Traditional care models often fail to meet the complex needs of patients living with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other long-term illnesses related to aging. Traditional clinical trials also often fail to truly address senior health with lengthy development and validation processes that take 7-10 years, cost billions, and exclude seniors – there is an opportunity to get seniors timely access to safe, validated therapies without the long wait.

    overuse.
  • ~$60B annually – The potential savings to Medicare and Medicaid from safer ECS-based care that reduces overmedication and addresses the

The Science Driving Change

Groundbreaking research has revealed the central role of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in regulating pain, sleep, immune function, and neurological health. As we age, ECS function declines—but it can be restored. Nutrition, movement, and federally compliant legal, hemp-derived CBD are proven tools for ECS support, offering a safer path to symptom relief and improved outcomes.

Where We’re Headed

  • Building on the Farm Bill: The 2018 Farm Bill, championed by President Trump, made hemp-derived CBD legal. Now the next step is ensuring seniors, with 20% already reporting usage today, can access safe, compliant CBD products integrated with their care
  • Creating standards: Through our federal advocacy efforts and partner collaborations, we are working to establish clinical and manufacturing standards to enable use of legal, hemp-derived CBD products that are produced with quality compliance and consistency.
  • Scaling impact: By working with payers and providers in expanding ECS-based care through real-world data (RWD), we aim to extend the health span and lifespan years of seniors, reduce overmedication, and save billions in healthcare costs – and enable America to set the gold standard in aging care for the world
